Generative Art, aka Gen Art, is a broad genre of art that is characterized by a computer somehow being involved in the 'decision making' process of composition or other aspect of generation. AI can be one of the tools used in Gen Art. However, AI was NOT used in generation of any of the images here.  All were produced by a combination of traditional media (e.g., photography or drawing) and a custom-developed program created from scratch by the artist. The custom program transforms inputs (e.g., a photographic image) into three dimensions and can also generate virtual 3D objects on the fly based on parameters provided by the artist. A key aspect of the program is a custom random number generator that is used to randomly determine layout, color, sizing, rotation, etc. Parameters are set by the artist that limit the degree of randomness, thereby allowing some determination of results by the software but ultimate control is kept by the artist.
